Multinational triumphs at the 2025 AXCO Global Insurance Awards

We’re delighted to announce that our Global Corporate & Specialty (GCS) team were winners at the 2025 AXCO Global Insurance Awards. They were recognised for our recent evolution and investment in our Multinational proposition, earning the ‘gold medal’ for the Business Transformation of the Year category.

The AXCO Global Insurance Awards recognise excellence in multinational risk management, international placement and cross-border operations. These awards celebrate outstanding achievements, innovation and collaboration within the insurance industry, particularly those managing complex global risks.

Investing to be a lead Multinational carrier

Multinational has been a significant area of focus within our GCS business over the last couple of years, driven by an ambition to double our gross written premium and be recognised in the industry as a lead carrier. Some of the recent developments to our proposition that underpin that ambition and were recognised in this win include:

  • Global Service Proposition brought together Lead Multinational and Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) into one proposition to support businesses with global solutions across a network spanning over 180 territories. This helps our clients benefit from robust local expertise in key markets, regardless of their location.

  • Reshaping our Multinational operating model and recruiting industry talent to bolster an already expert team.

  • Investing in improving our technological capability - we’ve enhanced our interaction with global partners, integrating them into a unified digital ecosystem. This has helped to optimise operations, provide quicker access to documents/wordings and made it easier for our partners to communicate directly with our London-based Multinational Hub and Network team.

  • We've also expanded our offering to provide more capacity and solutions for brokers and clients by introducing new lines of business, such as Marine, Accident & Health and Political Violence & Terrorism.

Belinda Steedman, Director of Global Service Proposition said,

"It’s always a great honour to be recognised for what we do on behalf of our broker partners and customers. This recognition is testament to the dedication and hard work of our team to help deliver a Multinational proposition that we can be proud of. I’m excited to see how our proposition will continue to grow and look forward to continuing to bring the best of Aviva to businesses across the globe.”
